BADMINTON FOR STREET CHILDREN IN BRAZIL
More than 60 children are living in the streets and slums of Gravatá, a coastal city situated in the North-East region of Brazil. CDB.Gravatá offers the opportunity for these less-priviledged children to participate in a project that helps make a better lives for them through Badminton. Four years ago, a completely unknown sport to Brazil, Badminton today offers a chance for a better life for the children and adolescents. With help and donations coming from all over the world, the project offers the kids daily practice of Badminton, at least one meal per day, basic school lessons, clothings, and some participations in regional tournaments.
Please visit our website at www.cdbgravata.com.br for more information and pictures. Your helping hands and financial assistance are always in need and are very welcome, to give a happier face to these young people.
MY Badminton Store is proud to be a patron and donor of badminton equipment to the CDB.Gravatá project from October 2008. CDB.Gravatá & MBS work together to ensure these young kids grow up with an education and a sport, helping them to become the leaders and champions of the future. There are, of course, much more work needed to be done.
