I compared this string to Nanogy 98 since they share the same
nominal thickness and nanotech thing.
Strung at 25 lbs. tension on two identical Z forces, there was
little to choose between them in terms of sheer power, but a huge
difference in feel. The Toalson had a much sharper, precise and delicate touch, whereas the Yonex was softer, rounder and a bit
remote from the action. Now I can see where those accusations of
numbness come from.
On a harsh feeling racquet the NBG 98 may be preferable, but on
mine the Toalson wins every time. I would say that it is still a
'medium' feeling string.
Two and a half months later the NanoPremium 66 shows no sign of wear at all, but the tension has dropped a few pounds. String movement has calmed down a bit, but it is still necessary to adjust
the stringbed after a session. Not quite Zymax bad but heading in that direction.
Overall, a surprisingly good string - and just look at that price!
