Yonex NanoSpeed 9900 SP/IP
[NS-9900 SP]
by Mark Appleton Date Added: Wednesday 02 December, 2009
Absolutely magnificent! 3UG4, US code. Ashaway Zymax 62 @ 24 x 26 lbs.

This racket is brilliant at EVERYTHING.

Power, for such a head-light, is astonishing - I was hitting some real howitzer smashes tonight, and my drives and clears came off with serious sting. I was landing within six inches of the baseline on lifts and clears once I was dialled in. All this without being demanding at all.

Defensively this is the finest Yonex racket I have ever used; it's right up there with the NS7000. By the time I had thought "uh oh" during a smash, the NS9900 had already hit a fizzing drive or blasted a mile-deep cross clear. The head moves with an ease unheard-of so far and this, coupled with the balance, makes the defence almost telepathic.

Control is inch-perfect - this racket can replicate shots with incredible consistency. Depth was incredibly easy to get right, and I got some crazy cross angles from really hard opponents' straight smashes. Even serves were easier to place thanks to the racket's feel.

I cannot find a fault with the Nanospeed 9900, it is the PERFECT doubles racket for an intermediate/advanced player.
