Arcsaber 10 - 27/30 lbs.
Completely unique to me - a very unusual string with absolutely nothing in the Yonex or Ash line that I can compare it to.
It's obvious that a great deal of attention has been paid to the fit and finish, as the outer coating is of the highest possible quality. Stringing is extremely easy - no cross sawing or kinks/tangles. It reacts badly to stencil ink, though, which only lasts around two sessions for me.
Feel is slightly dead for a 0.66, no doubt due to the outer coating, but isn't as detached as NBG95. I didn't get much slack when pre-stretching for stringing, so tension holding appears good. Power is more akin to a .68 Yonex like BG80 than a 0.66. Off-centre shots are well coped-with, though, which was a nice surprise.
Problems come with control. The shuttle tends to slide across the bed, rather than grip and re-direct, on slice shots, and uninitentionally-sliced shots lose both power and angle.
If Gosen offered a more grippy surface, like that of BG80, then it would be a real threat to the big boys, but at the moment it's too slippery (and a bit too expensive) to challenge.
